Over the past 30 years, Edward Plato, the founder of The Plato Law Firm, has successfully represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, material suppliers, the State of Michigan, and individuals in large exposure and complex lawsuits involving personal injuries and death as well as extensive property damage claims. Mr. Plato currently serves as liability defense counsel for several Metro-Detroit Area contractors, engineering firms, and municipalities. Ed Plato has worked with owners, contractors, engineering firms, architects and suppliers on both public and private sector projects and litigation. He has been the general liability counsel for Dan's Excavating, Inc., Michigan's major highway contractor, for over 25 years, and has also been appointed as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan representing the Michigan Department of Transportation with regard to highway construction litigation.
